Nareeba Moopi Moopi Pa, or ‘Moopi’ as it is fondly known, is a 16-bed aged care facility offering both respite and permanent care. Located at One Mile on North Stradbroke Island, Moopi was established in 1994 and continues to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive support to ensure that residents feel safe, comfortable, and at home. We offer permanent residential care, as well as short-term stays (respite) to meet the needs of our Elders and community members.

We are passionate about empowering the Elders in our care to thrive. By providing choices in all aspects of their lifestyle and living environment—from health professionals to social opportunities—we enable our Elders to maintain control and dignity in their daily lives.

Moopi boasts a beautiful outlook with most rooms offering views of the ocean or the bush. Our sweeping verandas allow Elders to enjoy cool breezes on summer days, and there's plenty of space for families to visit.

 

In 2022, the Fireproofing and Refurbishment Project at Moopi was successfully completed, thanks to joint funding from the Australian Government (ACAR Funding) and the Queensland Government (ETS Funding).

Additionally, the Federal Government provided funding for a sensory garden designed for Moopi residents, as well as a community space for future events and activities.

 

The dedicated care team ensures that all aspects of life at Moopi are of the highest quality, including meals that have been developed with the aid of a dietitian, while always considering the choices and individual needs of our Elders.
